Dr. Marialena Fernandes
World Class Performer (Pianoforte), Professor of Music, Artistic Director, International Program Curator.
Born in Mumbai, sharing her birth date with Mozart, Marialena was a child prodigy and acquired her Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music under the patronage of Madame Olga Craen. A graduate from the Mumbai University in Psychology and Philosophy, Marialena received a scholarship for further musical education at the Academy (now University) of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She has performed Solo, Chamber Music and orchestral concerts in most European capitals, in the USA, Australia, Africa and Asia. She has also conducted Workshops and Masterclasses around the globe. She has been on annual TV and Radio broadcasts, including BBC, and has been an International Jury member. Now based in Vienna, Austria, Marialena is still passionate, humorous, optimistic,… hungry for knowledge!
